Late-Morning Alabama Gobbling Frenzy | Tyler Jordan | Realtree Spring Thunder
Spring Thunder • 13m
S3.E34. Tyler Jordan and producer Bryan Brown set up on a couple gobblers early in the hunt. Then, after striking out, they find a couple hot-gobbling turkeys late in the morning. The birds gobbled on their own long enough for them to get within the toms' comfort zones. After that, a few soft yelps called them within range. Watch this hunt unfold in an eastern Alabama sweet gum thicket.
1:45: They hear a bird gobbling and put together a game plan. After weighing their options, Jordan and Brown set up and wait for the gobbler to do its thing. They realize it's not one, but two loud-mouthed birds.
5:25: After working the birds for a while, they decide to move up a little further. They're trying to get inside the birds' comfort zone. It works. They start gobbling even more and eventually breaks. Jordan hears one drumming, and realizes the longbeard is just out of sight.
8:00: Finally, the pair of longbeards show their faces, but begin to act weird once they're in range. Jordan takes the only opportunity he gets and fills his tag.
